In the past six years, the Enterprise Excellence team has assisted over 30 small companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Many of these companies, participants in the Comprehensive Assistance Program, have used the Enterprise Excellence Methodology as a springboard for dramatic bottom-line results. Examples:

Rheaco
Implementation of plant wide cellular layout dramatically reduced travel distance (over 5 miles on the longest process), reduced WIP by 65%, improved 1st run yield by 77%, reduced turnaround time by 86.5%, and reduced cost of goods sold by 42%. Cellular manufacturing allowed Rheaco to double their output of extrusions from $0.5 to $1.0 million. Overtime hours were cut in half.

Baker Hughes(BHMT)
After implementing the cellular process and continuous improvement efforts, headcount was reduced. BHMT reduced cycle time by 80% on average. The average set-up time has been reduced by 70% and work-in-process decreased by 78%. By utilizing the process of concurrent engineering , new product development cycle times have been reduced by 40% on average

One Stop Printing
After a brief period of learning how to operate with a schedule, production efficiency increased 25%. Since the implementation of FIFO scheduling, gross monthly sales have increased by an average of 21% compared to January of 1996
