The SBDC for Enterprise Excellence provides comprehensive assistance to small manufacturing companies. We deploy solutions utilizing appropriate technologies and techniques, as defined in the proven methodology . Experienced manufacturing specialists begin by conducting a needs assessment of the company. Together the engineer and company personnel develop an assistance plan based on the assessment. The engineer then facilitates the implementation of the plan. The final step in the assistance process is follow-up and evaluation of company progress. This assistance process promotes a long-term relationship by providing value-added service to the company.

Our comprehensive and coordinated approach to enterprise transformation takes a holistic view of the organization. We will work one-on-one with your company to create a solution designed to improve your competitiveness and add profits to the bottom line.

The Enterprise Excellence Methodology is a rigorous engineering approach developed at UTA to transform an enterprise from a current state to a desired future condition. The methodology integrates culture, process and technology strategies to transform an enterprise under the guidance of a plan. It is an organized collection of activities that describes "what" must be done to change the entire enterprise. The method is de-compositional in nature and iterative in application. As a secondary objective, a field engineer's workbook is developed to guide the application of the method. The workbooks provide a step-by-step prescriptive approach to transform an enterprise based on the method.
