Jim Randle is a Cross Timbers Procurement Center Government Contracting Counselor and Coach. He counsels small businesses on how to sell to prime contractors and works closely with defense prime contractors to help them meet their subcontracting plan requirements and small business goals. He is responsible for the oversight of the Cross Timbers Veteran’s Initiative, Mentor-Protégé and SBIR programs and other related assistance to small businesses with special emphasis on those small business categories under-represented by each prime contractor.
His experience includes over 34 years in corporate, educational and entrepreneurial environments with emphasis on marketing and business development, supplier diversity program management, small business counseling, education and training. Before joining Cross Timbers, Jim worked for Lockheed Martin Corporation Aeronautics Company for 22 years where he managed a team of ten people and was responsible for the overall success of the Aeronautics Company Supplier Diversity Program. Before joining Lockheed, Jim taught marketing and business courses to high school juniors and seniors.
Jim earned an Education Specialist degree in Vocational and Career Development from Georgia State University, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from West Georgia College and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management from The University of Alabama. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a budget analyst and has written numerous articles for the Fort Worth Business Press.
Jim is married, has two children and two grandchildren and lives in Granbury, TX.
