Dana Weddle




Dana Weddle joined the Small Business Development Center for Enterprise Excellence in early 2009 as a Small Business Sustainability Counselor. She brings a passion for environmentalism and a wide range of experience with environmental issues, including conservation (and the resulting cost savings), urban ecological systems and recycling/waste management. Dana spearheads the Planet Performance portion of the Triple Bottom Line (Profit, People, Planet) assessment/advising program.

Dana loves travelling and her world perspective has been positively impacted by the assorted cultural experiences. She temporarily resided in Oaxaca, Mexico where she studied Spanish both formally and through immersion, and volunteered at Esperanza Infantil Children's Shelter. She taught English and worked in the nursery and kindergarten with disadvantaged and homeless children. She studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain where she focused on Urban Ecological Systems, Sustainability efforts in the urban Mediterranean, and the Spanish Language. She has also explored many other cities around Europe and North Africa.

Dana earned her BS in Biology with minors in Physics and Spanish from the University of Tulsa. Dana is currently pursuing her MS in Environmental and Earth Science from the University of Texas at Arlington.
